The Super Feeder unit itself is made for indoor or outdoor use, but this CSF-3XL unit comes with the outdoor power supply kit suitable for outdoor use.

CSF-3XL Outdoor Cat/ Small Animal Model + hopper + outdoor smart plug: this feeder package includes the Super Feeder housing unit, two 2-cup clear hopper extensions, lid, chute cover, 1.5 gallon hopper w/ strap, powder coated black metal mounting bracket and tie strap, 12VAC outdoor power supply kit, hardware bag, printed operating manual and the outdoor EP40 smart plug. The CSF-3XL model includes a 1.5 gallon black hopper (24 cups capacity) to stack on top of the basic CSF-3 Super Feeder (for a total feeder capacity of 28-3/4 cups).
Flexible Power & Control Options - Ways to automate:
This combo package comes with the TP-Link EP40 Smart Plug for outdoor use. This outdoor Wi-Fi plug is perfect to operate your outdoor Super Feeder. Being a very trusted brand and extremely easy to set-up, it works great for up to 15 programmed on-off daily/weakly cycles (feed cycles per day). The smart outdoor plug works with a secured 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network without the need for a separate hub and features a built-in power amplifier for long range Wi-Fi with reach of up to 300 ft. Power your outdoor smart plug on or off, set schedules or scenes from anywhere with your smartphone using the Kasa Smart app. Remotely turn on your Super Feeder or other items while at home or away from home. With two outlets, control 2 devices individually along with the feeder like a camera or other item. Last but not least, use simple voice commands with your smart plug and Alexa, Google Assistant or Microsoft Cortana to trigger your feeder like, “Alexa feed my cat,” then watch your pet run for it! You can give each outlet a unique name and use them separately.

If you want a timer instead of a wifi smart plug, Combo 23 is the same as this combo but comes with the ACDT-35 dual outlet digital timer and Combo 23a is the same as this combo but comes with the ACAT-32 dual outlet analog timer.
CSF-3 Outdoor Installation
There are various ways to mount your CSF-3XL Cat/Small Animal Super Feeder. The CSF-3XL model comes with a black powder-coated metal “L” shaped mounting bracket and a metal strap. You will need to mount the feeder before use. You can see many of our customers’ outdoor installations on our website: https://www.super-feed.com/csfmodel_outdoor_install.html. Some of the most common ways to mount your automatic cat or small animal feeder is to a 2x4 or 4x4, in a custom cabinet or box, or on customer built stand with a 2x4 attached for mounting.
