Late model Super Feeder housing with larger chute opening for larger kibble up to 5/8" across or slightly above. Larger kibble distribution may be possible by trial and error. Due to unlimited types of kibbles on the market, it is still not possible to predict performance. Best performance for portion accuracy is still guaranteed with recommended 1/4" diameter spherical/cylindrical type kibbles. The chute opening is about 1 1/4" high compared to 7/8" with the early model super feeder housing. The large chute cover protective device, also available, should always be used on this housing for the CSF-3 and KSF-2 feeders due to its larger chute opening being too accessible to pets if not installed. Please be aware that, with this housing, the feeder will still not “count’ kibbles, but tests have shown that an accuracy of +/- .1 to .2 ounce per portion has been achieved for every two cycles with recommended kibbles. Most other cat food kibbles will work very well, but with so many shapes/sizes of kibbles on the market, it is impossible to predict exact results. Although performance is guaranteed with recommended food as described, please be advised that due to variance of kibble sizes and shapes, 100% portion accuracy simply cannot be guaranteed for all feed cycles. Generally, the larger the food is, the lesser accurate portions will be. NOTE: YOU MUST ORDER AND USE "LARGE" CHUTE COVER WITH THIS HOUSING.  All parts (except early model chute cover) from an existing early model housing will fit inside this housing.
